SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union College volleyball team finished the weekend a perfect 4-0 after notching a pair of wins over SUNY-Fredonia and SUNY-Potsdam Saturday.
The first match marked another milestone for setter
Amanda Price. A night after recording her 3,000th assist, she tallied career dig 1,000 in the four set victory (25-20, 21-25, 26-24, 25-16) over Fredonia.
Ally VanDoren led Union with 22 kills while
Alyssa Bonesteel pitched in 11 on the afternoon.
After the first match, the Dutchwomen had a quick turnaround as they faced undefeated Potsdam in the final match of the tournament. Union used a balanced to hand the Bears their first loss of the season 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-21). VanDoren and Bonsteel each had 12 kills while
Emma Sprotbery had nine of her own securing the Dutch's fourth win of the weekend.
Union is back on the court Tuesday as it plays host to SUNY-Oneonta at 6:30 PM.
