SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - The Union College volleyball team dropped a pair of games at the Liberty League Crossover Tournament to conclude their 2017 season, this afternoon.
Match One:
The Dutchwomen fell in five sets to SUNY New Paltz during match one.
Gillian Gore led the match with 17 kills and four aces.
Stephanie Libonati produced offensively with 12 kills and
Lara Atalay had 16 of her own.
Brianne Hallock controlled the defensive end of the match with a game high 34 digs. Gore also added 21 digs to her arsenal.
Sage Shimamoto dished 52 assists.
Match Two:
Union struggled offensively during match two, as no Dutchwoman would swing above a .214 attack percentage. Atalay led the Dutch with nine kills, but overall, Union swung .036 as a team against UMass Boston. Hallock and Gore collected 13 and 11 digs, respectively.
Gore was named to the All-Tournament team for her performances throughout the Liberty League Crossover Tournament.
Season Leaders:
-With today's matches concluding Union's 2017 season, Gore ends her first year campaign with 440 kills. She also leads the team in service aces with 52.Â

Caroline Everts ended the season with 39 service aces.
-Hallock ends her senior season with 607 digs.
-Shimamoto had 1,077 assists this year.
-Libonati had seven solo blocks and 50 total blocks throughout the season. Libonati also ends this season with the team high attacking percentage. She had 265 kills this year on 608 attempts, with just 80 errors (.304).
