Box Score CLINTON, NY - The Union College women's basketball team drops to 2-3 overall on the season this evening, as they were defeated 47-65 by the Hamilton College Continentals.
Despite senior Jenni Barra posting the game-high 13 points, the Dutchwomen were unable to hold off on Hamilton, who would shoot 40 percent on the evening, as opposed to Union's 29.6 percent. Nine of Barra's points from tonight came off long range shots, from behind the three point line.
The Continentals went eight of 18 from behind the arc, shooting 44.4 percent on three-pointers, and also shot seven of 13 from the charity stripe.
Hamilton out-rebounded the Dutch by nearly double, bringing down 50 rebounds, opposed to Union's 26. The Continentals were also able to convert 16 second-chance points tonight.
The Dutchwomen were unable to grab a lead throughout the course of the game. Union's closest margin would be pulling within four points of Hamilton, but ultimately the Continentals would run away with the victory.
Union returns to action this Saturday against the Sage Colleges at 2 p.m.
