Box Score 2 SCHENECTADY, NY - After two victories last night, the Dutchwomen returned to action today with wins against MCLA and Mount St. Vincent to complete the four game sweep of the Crosstown Tournament.
Match One: 25-19, 25-17, 25-16:
The Dutchwomen's offense shined today, as the top three attackers in the match were all sporting garnet.
Gillian Gore, 15 kills,
Julia Louis, 11, and
Alaina Thaxter, six, had the highest tallies in the kills column, match-wide. Louis' 11 kills came on 22 attempts for.364 efficiency percentage.
Sage Shimamoto dished out 31 assists. The Dutch outhit the Panthers .242 to .093.
Union's defense played well, as the team held MCLA to just 20 kills on 93 attempts.
Brianne Hallock continues to lead from this end of the game with 15 digs. With the completion of today's two matches, Hallock has 231 digs on the season.
Match Two: 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-14:
Serving played a key role in the outcome of match two this afternoon for the Dutchwomen, against Mount St. Vincent. With 20 service errors evenly shared between the two teams, the Dutch also managed to find success in service as well. Union aced the Dolphins 12 times.
Gore and Louis played incredible games for the Dutch's offense with 16 and 13 kills, respectively. Gore swung .448 on 29 attempts and Louis boasts a .375 efficiency percentage on 24 attempts. The Dutchwomen combined for a 57 match kills on just 117 attempts (.299). Shimamoto added 36 assists.

.439 - As a team, the Dutchwomen swung a .439 efficiency rating. The team racked up 104 kills in the two matches on 237 attempts.
The Dutch continue the home stand when they return to play next Friday night at the Viniar Center, against Clarkson University. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
