SCHENECTADY, NY – The No. 2 team in the nation came to Frank Bailey Field on Tuesday night and proved they were deserving of their ranking, as Babson handed Union College a 5-0 defeat.

Babson controlled the play from start to finish, earning 28 penalty corners and putting 27 shots on net, all while limiting Union to zero shots.

Freshman keeper
Mary Beth Rudolf made her first collegiate start and shined in net for the Dutchwomen, making 19 saves. She was then replaced by fellow freshman
Heather Poisson in the 58th minute.

The Beavers received scoring from five different players, with Maddy Paro and Elise Towers scoring in the first half, and Kate Driscoll, Brielle Schafroth-Bach and Ashley Tango scoring in the second half.

Union College returns to the field on Saturday, Sept. 23, to open Liberty League play against Ithaca College back at Frank Bailey Field at 2 p.m. (ET).
