Haley Shugart scored her third goal of the season as the Dutchwomen fell to Penn State, 3-2, Saturday afternoon from Messa Rink.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Nittany Lions took a 1-0 lead less than two minutes into the game. Shugart answered with a goal less than a minute later off an assist from first-year forward Cassidy Michalicka. The score was knotted a 1 apiece after the first period.
- The visitors regained the lead at 7:14 in the second period and led 2-1 heading into the final frame.
- Union junior forward Katelynn Russ made the score 2-2 on her first goal of the season with 9:30 remaining in the third period. Penn State got scored the game winning-goal three minutes later to secure the victory.

The Dutchwomen return to action Friday, Oct. 19, traveling to face RIT for the first game of a weekend series. The puck is set to drop at 5:00 p.m. (ET). Â
