Dutchmen Top Clarkson 1-0

SCHENCTADY, N.Y. – Union College junior forward Salvador Lopez Jr. scored the game-winning goal in double overtime to lead the Dutchmen to a 1-0 victory over Clarkson, Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The teams were unable to break the deadlock in regulation, with the Golden Knights outshooting Union 14-11. Sophomore goalkeeper Trevor Krupp made several crucial saves to keep the Dutchmen in the game and maintain the clean sheet.
  • After a scoreless first overtime period, Lopez won the game for the Dutchmen with a volley into the bottom left corner of the net off an assist from senior forward Connor Horan.
  • Union's record moves to 6-1 at home this season.

The Dutchmen return to action Tuesday, Oct. 23, hosting Bard at 7 p.m. (ET).
