Dutchwomen Bested by Skidmore 3-0

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union College sophomore goalkeeper Alison Sorkenn accounted for four saves as the Dutchwomen fell to Liberty League rival Skidmore, 3-0. Wednesday evening at College Park Field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Thoroughbreds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the tenth minute when Courtney Shaw took the ball past the goalie and scored into an open goal.
  • Emma Basso doubled the Skidmore lead in the 19th minute off a Shaw Ccoss. The Thoroughbreds wrapped up the scoring two minutes later with a shot form 35 yards out to take a 3-0 lead that proved insurmountable.
  • First-year midfielder Bella Dworkin led Union with five shots, including one on target.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Dutchwomen return to action Saturday, Oct. 27, traveling to face RIT in Liberty League action at 2 p.m. (ET).
