GENEVA, N.Y. – Despite leading 28-19 in the third quarter, the Union College football team suffered its first loss of the season, as Hobart came back to win 29-28 on Saturday afternoon.

Union is now 4-1 on the year, and drops to 0-1 in Liberty League play while Hobart improves to 3-2 and 1-0 in the Liberty League.

- Andre Ross Jr. kept his 100-plus yard per game streak alive, catching six passes for 152 yards and one touchdown.

How It Happened
The Statesmen scored first, using a 31-yard field goal to go up 3-0 in the first quarter. Union then responded with two touchdowns, both by
Ike Irabor, to take a 14-3. Hobart would then score two touchdowns and a field goal and Union would score a third before the end of the half, as the Dutchmen carried a 21-19 lead into the third quarter.

Andre Ross Jr. caught a 27-yard pass in the third quarter to put Union up 28-19. However, a field goal in the end of the third and a 16-yard passing touchdown in the fourth would give Hobart the 29-28 lead and eventual win.
