GENEVA, NY - The Union College women's basketball team fell to the William Smith Herons, 47-78 this afternoon, to conclude the 2017-18 season.

Union got off to a slow start this afternoon, as the Herons outscored the Dutch 16-5 after the first 10 minutes of play. Unfortunately, the 11 point deficit would be too much to overcome for Union, as they headed into the halftime break trailing by 13.Â
The Dutch's strongest outing came during the third quarter in this afternoon's play, putting up 12 points in 10 minutes.Â
Four different Herons scored in double figures, as well as forcing the Dutchwomen to commit 11 turnovers. From the turnovers alone, William Smith managed to bank 13 points in addition to scoring 10 points off second chances.Â
Senior

With today's matchup, Union has concluded its 2017-18 season and will return to the court in Fall 2018.Â
