SCHENECTADY, NY – The Union College women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-5 decision to Williams College on Thursday afternoon at Frank Bailey Field.
The Ephs jumped out to a 7-0 lead within the first nine minutes of the contest, before the Dutchwomen were able to get on the board.
Abby Stoller scored halfway through the first half to erase the goose egg, but unfortunately, it would be the only Union goal of the half. Williams College would take an 11-1 lead into halftime.
Despite the deficit they faced, the Dutchwomen continued to battle and scored four-straight goals midway through the second half. MK McIntire and
Hannah Rosenberger each scored once, while
Cailin Pandolfi scored twice to bring the score to 15-5.
However, the Ephs scored three final goals in the remaining six minutes for the 18-5 win.
Union will be back on the field on Saturday, March 31, taking on Ithaca in Liberty League action. The game in Ithaca, NY is set to begin at noon (ET).
