AMSTERDAM, NY – The Union College baseball team lost 16-9 to Trinity College on Tuesday night at Shuttleworth Park.

Trinity College put up runs in every inning but the first en route to the nonconference win over Union. The Dutchmen didn't give up, however, facing a 16-5 deficit in the bottom of the ninth they strung together four runs on four hits and two errors to cut into the Bantam lead.

Josh Garber made his fifth start of the season and threw 3.0 innings with only two runs conceded on three hits. Colby Fortin started on the mound for the Bantams and pitched 6.0 innings with only two earned runs against.

Despite the loss, Union put together 16 hits in the contest, four coming off the bat of
Sean Cullen. The sophomore first baseman would end the game 4-for-5 (.800) and with four RBI's.

Harrison Glatt,
Colin Kelly,
Sam Kirschenbaum and
Joe Ganim all had two hits in the game, with Kelly hitting his team-leading 10th homerun of the season.

The Dutchmen head into their final weekend of the regular season, taking on RPI this weekend in a four-game Liberty League series. The Engineers will host Saturday's, May 5, doubleheader in Troy, and Sunday's doubleheader will be at Shuttleworth Park. Both days are slated to begin at noon (ET).
