Union Announces Video Partnership with BoxCast

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College Department of Athletics is very excited to announce a new broadcasting partnership with BoxCast that will provide Union fans a new and exciting way to watch many of their favorite teams beginning in 2018-19.

Union has partnered with BoxCast to provide FREE high-definition video streams for its Division III sports, with no fewer than 10 teams originally scheduled to have some or all of its games video streamed online this year. The broadcasts will feature HD quality feeds, live DVR capabilities, and scoreboard overlays that include time and score, while the department will provide live audio commentary for all football games as well as other sports as available.

There are also now more ways to be a part of the action, as fans can watch on their computer and mobile devices via the Union athletics website, UnionAthletics.com, as well as on their televisions via Apple TV and Roku devices. Just search for Union College Athletics and favorite our channel to have quick access to all Union events.

"We are very happy to partner with BoxCast to give our fans the opportunity to watch many Union teams for free this season," Director of Athletics Jim McLaughlin '93 said. "As we continually look to expand and enhance our video streaming opportunities, this collaboration was targeted as a great way to reach to all Union families, fans and alumni."

To start the season, the Union Athletic Communications Department is slated to stream approximately 40 D-III home games during the months of September and October, including men's and women's soccer games live from College Park for the first time to go with football, field hockey and women's volleyball. Men's and women's basketball games will follow in the winter season, while the spring season is slated to bring men's and women's lacrosse and softball streams live to fans.

Broadcast links are available on all team schedule pages, while the links for all video streams can also be accessed at https://unionathletics.com/video. Some broadcasts may be subject to change due to weather or other factors, so please check back throughout the year for the most up-to-date broadcast schedules.

In addition, Union also has partnered with SIDEARM Sports to provide live audio-only streams for Union football games this year. All football home games will be audio streamed live on UnionAthletics.com, supplementing the free video option. The audio portal is available at https://unionathletics.com/audio.
