SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Union College junior forward Salvador Lopez Jr. recorded a goal for the second consecutive game as the Union College men's soccer team fell to New Paltz, 4-1 on Saturday night at Skidmore College's Wachenheim Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks took the lead in the fourth minute off a deflected shot by Kevin Doorley. Lopez Jr. tied the game 13:14 into the match after beating the keeper 1-on-1 off a through ball from junior midfielder Yasin Dombayci.
- New Paltz regained the lead in the 37th minute when Ryan Stevens scored on a shot from outside the box to take a 2-1 lead into halftime. The Hawks added a pair of goals early in the second half to put the game out of reach.
