ITHACA, N.Y. – The Union College men's basketball team dropped an 85-69 Liberty League contest to the Ithaca Bombers on Saturday night Ben Light Gymnasium. Union drops to 8-9 (4-7 LL) on the season, while Ithaca improves to 9-9 (5-6 LL).

The Bombers shot a blistering 52.5 percent from the field in the win, and was led by Matt Flood who had a game-high 25 points.

Union had four players scoring in double digits, led by
Mike Manley who had a career-best 14 points. Manley would also end the night with four rebounds, one block and one steal.

Kevin McNoble and
Mike Concannon scored 12 points for the Dutchmen, as McNobled also added five assists and seven rebounds, while Concannon had eight rebounds, and one assist.

The Dutchmen started off the contest in the driver's seat, jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first two minutes. Union held the lead for the majority of the first half, but Ithaca slowly chipped away at the Dutchmen's lead and ended up going on a 13-6 run in the final five minutes of the half to claim a 35-36 lead at halftime.

In the second half it was all Ithaca as the Bombers out-scored the Dutchmen 49-34 in the half to claim the 85-69 final.

Union returns home for a midweek contest on Tuesday, Jan. 29, hosting Bard for an 8 p.m. (ET) tipoff at the Viniar Athletic Center.
