Dutchwomen Fall 6-2 To Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Union College women's hockey team fell 6-2 to Bemidji State, Saturday afternoon from the Stanford Center.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Union sophomore forward Makayla Mori scored her first goal of the season to give Union a 1-0 lead 7:01 into the opening period off an assist from junior forward Katelynn Russ.
  • The Beavers responded with four unanswered goals to wrap the first period.
  • With Bemidji State on the power play, the Dutchwomen got a goal back at 15:54 in the second period when junior forward Rachel de Perio scored short-handed off a feed from senior defenseman Arianna Kosakowski. The Beavers led 4-2 heading into the final 20 minutes of play.
  • The hosts added a pair goals late in the third period to secure the victory.
  • Junior goaltender Amelia Murray and sophomore goaltender Coco Francis combined for 31 saves in net for the Dutchwomen.
