Historic season comes to an end at Salisbury

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Union College football team's 14-game winning streak came to an end, as the No. 13/14 Dutchmen fell 62-41 to No. 6 Salisbury in the second round of the 2019 NCAA DIII Football National Championship on Saturday. With the loss Union ends the 2019 season with an 11-1 record. Salisbury (11-0) will continue on to play Muhlenburg in the quarterfinals.

The game was a constant display of offense, as the two teams combined for 42 points (21-21) in the first quarter alone. Salisbury held a 42-28 lead at half time, in a game that never saw the Dutchmen lead. The 41 points scored by Union was the second most for the Dutchmen this season, and the most that the Sea Gulls have conceded this season as well.

Summary
