Emma Devaney scored in the 86th minute to give Union a lead that would hold, Tuesday afternoon in Utica, N.Y. when the Dutchwomen battled against the Pioneers of Utica College.

After finishing the first half tied, Union was able to break the ice on a goal scored by Dworkin in the 63rd minute. Dworkin took a bouncing ball and shot from outside the 18-yard box and snuck the ball just inside the crossbar over the outstretched goaltender for the 1-0 lead. This was Dworkin's third goal of the year. The Pioneers would not go away quiet, they scored in the 76th minute to even the game back up at 1-1. It was not until Devaney was able to score in the 86th minute to secure the win for the Dutchwomen, Tuesday afternoon. Devaney, one timed a rebound, that came off the goalie, and beat the goalie on the shot to give union a 2-1 lead and ultimately the game winner.
Union out shot Utica 24-5 in the game and also had eight corners to the Pioneers three.
Union (5-5-1) returns home on Saturday, October 9th at 2 p.m. for a match up against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at College Park Field.
