#25 RPI Shuts Out Union, 1-0

TROY, N.Y. – The Union College men's soccer team lost 1-0 to #25 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Friday afternoon at ECAV Stadium. RPI broke through in the 88th minute to come out of the Liberty League match with a win.

Tommaso Valagussa scored in the 88th to give Rensselaer the 1-0 win over the Dutchmen. He scored on the rebound from a shot that junior net minder Kenyon Pelletier stopped initially. The rebound was punched in Valagussa for the 1-0 lead, and the eventual game winning goal. Union was out shot 19-2 in the contest.

The Dutchmen (4-5-1, 0-4-0) play next Friday, October 15th, at 4 p.m. against Liberty League opponent Hobart on College Park Field.
