TROY, N.Y. – The Union College men's tennis team closed out the 2020-21 season on Sunday with a 6-1 loss at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in a non-conference matchup at Sharp Courts.
Playing in their final collegiate match together, senior brothers
Austin Egna and
Max Egna earned Union's lone point of the day, posting a hard-fought 8-6 win over Jeffrey Yu and Abraham Yohannes at third doubles.
Rensselaer took the first four singles matches before the match was halted due to rain.
Sunday's contest marked the final collegiate match for the Egna brothers and fellow senior
David Bond. Union finished the shortened 2021 spring season with a 2-5 (2-4 Liberty League) record.
