PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Union College women's soccer team lost to Plattsburgh State College, 4-2 on Saturday afternoon. Â

Plattsburgh State got the scoring started in the 12th minute when Kieren Ritter scored followed by Kristen Villemaire in the 28th minute to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. Union cut the lead to 2-1 when O'Shea scored on a pass from Milliken. The Cardinals would then tally again in the 39th minute to extend the lead to 3-1 coming from Taylor Tous. Union was outshot 14-6 in the half.Â

Schliemer scored in the 51st minute to cut the lead back to 3-2. This goal came from a pass from DiCecco. Eight minutes later Plattsburgh State would make it 4-2 in the 59th minute when Avery Durgan scored. The score would hold at 4-2, handing the Dutchwomen their second loss of the year. Plattsburgh State out shot Union 6-4 in the second half as well.Â

The Dutchwomen (1-2-1) will get back to action when they take on Western New England at College Park Field on September 15th.
