SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union honored their seven seniors on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon from College Park Field. Unfortunately, Union was unable to complete the comeback in a Liberty League matchup against Ithaca College. Union lost 3-2.

Senior
Emma Maley scored and added an assist and first-year
Anne Pearl both scored in the contest for Union. Pearl's goal was her first collegiate goal.
The Dutchwomen grabbed an early lead after a foul in the box they were awarded a penalty kick. Maley approached the goal and picked the upper right corner with the shot to give Union a 1-0 lead. This was Maley's second goal of the season.
Ithaca was awarded a penalty kick of their own, 16 minutes later. The Bombers evened things up on the penalty kick. Ithaca grabbed the lead in the 43rd minute on a corner kick that bounced around in the box before being kicked in.
Union out shot Ithaca 5-4 in the half. Mitty made one save in the half.
In the second half, Union scored to tie the game at 2 in the 62nd minute. Maley took the corner kick and lifted her cross into the box towards the back post. Pearl was there waiting and headed the ball into the open goal past a diving Ithaca goal keeper. This was Pearl's first collegiate goal and evened the score at 2-2. Maley earned her third point f the afternoon on the assist.
Both teams traded chances, but it was Ithaca who scored with just 12 seconds remaining to clinch a 3-2 win over Union. First-year
Rachel Berliner made three saves in the second half for Union.
The Dutchwomen will stay at home as they play host to the Plattsburgh State Cardinals on Wednesday evening, October 19. Kick off from College Park Field is set for 7 p.m.
