Theme Nights: Union Men's and Women's Hockey announced their Theme Nights for the upcoming 2022-23 season. The Theme Nights begin this weekend with Friday's game, Military Appreciation night. Saturday's game, Pink At The Rink.Â
About the Dutchwomen:
The Dutchwomen posted a 1-0-1 record over the weekend. Union came back from 2-0 down to tie Harvard University 2-2. Junior
Celeste Beaudoin scored twice in the contest. On Saturday afternoon, Union trailed by 3-0 and 4-1 and stormed back to beat Dartmouth 5-4 in overtime. Senior Captain

Riley Walsh capped off a five point weekend with the game winning goal just 53 seconds into overtime.Â
King leads the team with 10 points (6g, 4a) and Walsh is right behind her with 9 points (5g, 4a). Sophomore
Sophie Matsoukas made 59 saves over the weekend, and has a 2.99 goals against average and a 9.11 save percentage.Â
About the Tigers:Â
The Tigers come to Messa Rink for the first time since 2019. RIT is on a seven game losing streak, wth loses to St. Lawrence, Syracuse, RPI, and Colgate. Kylie Aquaro leads the team in points (8) and assists (7) while also adding a goal in her sophomore campaign. Jaymee Noah leads the team in goals (4), she is also a team best +2. Sarah Coe has started eight of the 13 games this season, posting a 3.35 goals against average and .884 save percentage.Â

The last time these teams met was an opening weekend series. Union won Friday's game 7-4 and then beat The Tigers on Saturday 4-1. Seven different Union skaters found the back of the net in the weekend. Union's

ECAC Players of the Week:
Riley Walsh was named ECAC Rookie of the Week after scoring three goals in her first weekend series and helping Union to a 1-1 record over the weekend. Walsh scored twice in her collegiate debut, with goals coming on the power play and the shorthanded. She is the first player to do this for Union since 2006. She added her third goal of the season on Saturday afternoon against UNH.Â

Emily King found the back of the net three times over the weekend and first-year
Stephanie Bourque tallied three helpers to help the Union College women's ice hockey team post a 1-1-0 record against the College of Holy Cross. King was named ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week and Bourque earned ECAC Hockey Defensive Player of the Week.Â
Riley Walsh earned her second ECAC Rookie of the Week honor for her five point weekend (1g, 4a) including the overtime goal in Union's 5-4 win over Dartmouth. Walsh becomes the first player in program history to win Rookie of the week multiple times.Â

U.S. National Team Assistant Coach Josh Sciba:
Union College head women's hockey coach
Josh Sciba served as an assistant coach for the 2022 U.S. Women's National Team. The United States returned home from the 2022 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships with a Silver Medal, following a 2-1 loss to Canada in the gold medal game.
Sciba will get back behind the bench again in November for a three game Rival Series against Team Canada. Sciba will also be with the team in December for another two game Rival Series against Team Canada.
