SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Union College men's tennis team started the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule on Sunday afternoon, falling to Division II Le Moyne University by a 9-0 score at Sportime Tennis Club.
Senior Cameron Klepper had the closest match of the day for Union in singles play, coming a single break short in both sets of his fifth-singles matchup before falling by a 7-5, 6-4 score to James Howard. Klepper also teamed up with sophomore Bailey McAtee to provide the closest doubles match of the afternoon, falling 8-5 in third-doubles action to Jared Howard and Erik Adler.
Union will return to action on Saturday, when the team travels to the University of Rochester for a non-conference matchup beginning at 2 p.m.
