HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Union College women's tennis team fell 9-0 to #33 Wisconsin-Whitewater on Monday morning at Hilton Head Beach and Tennis.
Junior
Marilena Karadimou was competitive in her match winning the first set 7-5 but dropped the second set 3-6, to force a super set. Karadimou fell 10-6 in the super tiebreaker to Lee.
Classmate
Hallie Katzman fought hard in the first set falling 7-5 and dropping the second set 6-1 against Bigelow.
The doubles pairing of Karadimou and sophomore
Gracie Nicol battled hard but fell 8-4 to Bruno and Lee.
Union (1-3) will get back on the courts tomorrow, March 22 with matches beginning at 9 a.m. against Augustana and 2 p.m. with Allegheny.
