ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Union College men's soccer team dropped their Saturday afternoon contest to the RIT Tigers by a score of 2-1 at Tiger Stadium.
First-year
Marco Perugini opened the scoring in the 10th minute, scoring his fourth goal of the season from the top of the box to give Union a 1-0 lead.
RIT struck right back however, scoring 22 seconds later off the ensuing kickoff to tie the game at one. Gabriel Zaninetti would score again in the 27th minute to give the Tigers the lead they would not let go of.
Union got the rest of their eight shots after RIT took the lead, but only three were on target and none found the net. RIT had six shots on Union's goal in the contest, forcing first-year
Paul Agne to make four saves.
Union, currently in third in the Liberty League standings, will return home Tuesday for their final home game of the regular season when they host Skidmore at 7:00 PM.
