EWING, N.J. – The Union College men's tennis team began a busy weekend of action on Saturday afternoon, falling to The College of New Jersey by a 9-0 score in a non-conference matchup at the TCNJ Rec Center.
In doubles play, Union came closest to earning a point at the third flight, where junior
Bailey McAtee and sophomore
Austin Gregory came up one break short in an 8-6 defeat to Jacob Quijano and Alberto Thomas.
Sophomore
Ben Jacobs nearly earned a point for Union in his second singles match against Adrian Tsui, taking the first set before falling in a supertiebreaker, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-6).
Union will finish off a busy weekend of action tomorrow afternoon, when the team faces off with Division I Lafayette College in Lebanon, N.J.
