TROY, N.Y. – The Union College softball team was eliminated from the Liberty League tournament at the hands of the #17 Yellowjackets of Rochester University. Union lost 8-0 in five innings on Friday afternoon from Doris Robison Field to end their season.

Amanda Granato,
Tara Hartnett,
Karson Saunders and
Olivia Valery all registered a hit in today's game for the Dutchwomen.
Union was able to get runners on second and third in the top of first inning, from hits by Hartnett and Saunders. Union was unable to capitalize in the inning.
The Yellowjackets ripped two runs in the bottom of the second inning, thanks to three straights hits and two being doubles. Rochester led 2-0 after two innings. They continued to pour on the offense in the third inning with five runs making it 7-0. They added one more run in the fourth inning.
Granato (6-10) was tabbed with the loss in 2.2 innings of work. Sophomore
Autumn Duff made an appearance in relief and allowed three runs in relief.
This loss marks the end of the 2023 season for Union. This team was the first time since 2018 to make the Liberty League Tournament and the first team to win a game in the tournament since 2015.
