SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 senior day win over Clarkson University on Saturday afternoon at College Park Field.
Prior to the game, the seven members of the senior class were honored:

Aiden Normand,
Wyatt Goldfisher,
Lucas Crowley,
Ethan Klopfer,
Alan Daniel, and
Evan Perry.
Union finishes the 2024 campaign with a 6-8-5 record and a 2-4-2 record in Liberty League play.
Junior
Lucas Montalto led the Union attack with two goals in the first half. Goldfisher scored his third goal of the season. First-year
Owen Everett recorded a goal and an assist in the win.
Union held a 12-10 advantage in shots with an 8-5 edge in shots on goal.
It was all Union in the opening minutes as Montalto struck twice to give the Garnet Chargers a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes.
Alexander Vittal sent a shot from the far side of the field and Montalto was in the center of the box to get the header and redirect it past the Josh Morelli in the bottom right corner. A few minutes later, a foul gave Union a free kick opportunity. The shot was deflected by a Clarkson defender with a timely header, but Montalto was there and sent a shot that went bar down before rolling into the net for a 2-0 lead. Union took a 3-0 lead later in the half off a goal by Goldfisher.Everett sent a short pass to Goldfisher at the top of the box and the senior kicked a shot from five yards out for his third goal of the season.
Union made it a 4-0 game with just under 10 minutes to play in the second half. Racing up field, Pascual found Everett and the first-year sent a shot into the lower left corner to beat Morelli.
First-year
Jackson Magee pitched his fifth shutout of the season with five saves. Morelli stopped four shots in the loss.
Today's match marks the end of the 2024 campaign for Union.
