Oneonta, N.Y. - The Union Women's Soccer team shut out SUNY Oneonta 3-0 at Red Dragon Field Saturday afternoon.
Junior goalkeeper Rachel Berliner played 82 minutes and recorded six saves on the evening, while first-year goalkeeper Brooke Rosenshine made her collegiate debut playing for eight minutes.
The scoring opened in the first half at the 34-minute mark when junior Anabelle Thomas assisted sophomore Taylor Bovardi who found the back of the net.
The second half saw continued offensive pressure and dominance, in which the Garnet Chargers added two more goals. At the 50-minute mark, junior Vanessa Jorgensen assisted senior Sam Friedman who put the ball in the net.
Union secured a final goal at the 54-minute mark when senior Addie Zimmerman netted an unassisted goal to seal the win.
The Garnet Chargers concluded with 11 shots on net to Oneonta's nine.
Women's Soccer returns to action Wednesday when they travel to Norton, Mass., for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference matchup versus Wheaton College.
