New Paltz took the second set to even the match and held a 12-9 lead in the third frame before an 8-1 stretch put Union back in front, followed soon after by a 7-1 run that clinched the set. Union scored eight of the first 11 points in the fourth frame and allowed New Paltz to score back-to-back points only twice the rest of the way to finish off the match.
