DELHI, N.Y. – The Union College women's volleyball team got back in the win column with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-13, 25-13) victory over SUNY Delhi in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday evening.

Shannon McGrath paced Union (9-6) with 12 kills and three service aces, followed by first-year
Shea Ringel with six. Senior
Georgia Pool led three Garnet Chargers in double figures in digs with 15, and sophomore
Allie Kronenberg recorded a match-best 22 assists.
The Garnet Chargers registered 10 of the first 14 points to start off the evening and the visitors' lead never fell below five points for the remainder of the first set, as Union hit .268 with 13 kills and only two errors.
SUNY Delhi (0-14) took an early lead in the second stanza and held an 8-6 advantage before a 7-0 run turned the deficit into a five-point Union cushion. The Broncos got back within a point at 14-13 before the Garnet Chargers shut the door with 11 straight points, led by three McGrath kills and a pair of Kronenberg aces.
The visitors used a 7-1 run midway through the third set to create some separation before closing strong again to the tune of a 9-1 stretch that finished off the sweep.
The Garnet Chargers hit .200 on the night with 29 kills and just eight errors, while holding the Broncos to negative hitting with 19 kills and 20 miscues.
Union will return home on Saturday for a tri-match with Manhattanville University and Nazareth University. The opening serve between Union and Manhattanville starts the day at 11 a.m.
