SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College Department of Athletics has unveiled its schedules for the 2026 fall season.
 
Twelve Union fall teams are set to begin play in the fall 2026 trimester, beginning on Tuesday, September 1 when three teams get the season underway. The women's and men's soccer teams start off the year with road games at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and SUNY Oneonta, respectively, while the field hockey team starts off its slate with the year's first home game against VTSU Castleton on Frank Bailey Field. 

The men's soccer team plays its first home match of the year on Friday, September 4 against Clark University and the women's volleyball gets its season underway that same day with day one of the Johnson & Wales Invitational in Providence. The football and women's tennis teams start their campaigns at home on Saturday, September 5, while the men's and women's cross country teams and the women's golf team get their seasons started on the road that day as well.

The women's soccer team kicks off its home slate underway on Tuesday, September 8 with a matchup against Middlebury College and the volleyball team takes to the home court for the first time on Friday, September 11 on day one of the Union/Russell Sage Crosstown Challenge. The men's tennis and women's golf teams both make their home debuts on Saturday, September 19 with day one of weekend home invitationals, while the men's and women's crew teams will begin their abbreviated fall schedule on Sunday, September 27 on their home river, taking part in the Head of the Mohawk Regatta.

Homecoming and Family Weekend (October 24-25) will once again feature several Union fall teams playing at home, including the football team's matchup at 1 p.m. against Ithaca College. Other home games that day include a women's volleyball tri-match against the University of Mount St. Vincent and Hamilton College and a women's soccer matchup against William Smith College. The women's hockey team is also home that weekend, hosting Quinnipiac University on Friday evening and Princeton College on Saturday afternoon.
