ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Union College women's soccer team doubled up SUNY Oneonta in on-target shots and had many of the chances in the second half, but the visitors could not find the net and suffered a 1-0 loss to the host Red Dragons on Saturday afternoon.
Union (2-2-2) outshot Oneonta (2-3-1) by a 17-10 margin on the afternoon and forced Red Dragon keeper Emily Hardison into making 10 saves, but the visitors could not find an elusive goal. Senior
Maya Koster stopped four shots at the other end, with one goal providing the difference.

Dakota Hebert were stopped by Hardison to keep the match tied at the break.
Union took four of the second half's first five shots, but it was the home team that struck first on a 62nd-minute tally by Dominique DiOrio. Union increased the offensive pressure after that, sending seven shots toward Hardison's net. The Oneonta keeper needed to make three saves in the final three minutes as Union attempted to find the equalizer, but the visitors' efforts fell short.
Union will play its final non-conference road game of the regular season on Wednesday, when the team finishes its three-game road stretch at Eastern Connecticut State University beginning at 5 p.m.
