Biography

2012:  Ran 4 times for 8 yards and a touchdown against Merchant Marine on senior day.  Had 2 rushes for 2 yards to go along with a 14 yard reception against Hobart.  Had 11 carries for 83 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns against Rochester. Had 2 catches for 23 yards against Springfield. Had 9 rushes for 80 yards in a win over Saint Lawrence.  Had a 17 yard reception and ran 2 times for 10 yards against Utica.  Had 5 rushesfor 20 yards and 2 catches for 11 yards against Salve Regina.

Hersey is one of the 2012 captains and is considered to be one of the most complete players on the team. He had 265 yards and 4 TDs in his Liberty League all star 2011 season. Hersey can play tailback or fullback and is a great receiver out of the backfield. The staff feels he could be the best fullback in the Liberty League. Hersey was the Conference Defensive Player of the Year and was first team All-Western New York.  He also earned second team All-State Honors.
