Biography
2012-2013: Participated in six relays in which the 600-yard medley placed third with Rachel splitting a time of 2:20.94, 2nd in the 200-yard medley splitting 33.46 for the breastroke leg and third in the 400-yard medley splitting 1:12.48 for the breastroke leg; helping the womens team place an overall second place at the Union Relays (Oct. 27)...In a dual meet versus Rochester (Nov.10), Rachel finished second in both the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:12.55 and 2:34.81. She also swam the second leg of the 200-yard medley, with a split time of 32.71, helping her team to a second place finish in the race...Placed in the top ten in three events at the Liberty League Championships (Nov. 30 - Dec. 1)...Was highlighted in the 200-yard medley relay placing third (1:56.37), second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.91) and third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.68) in a loss against Amherst (Dec. 7). Rachel swam the breastroke leg on Unions 400-yard medley relay teamagainst Springfield and Hartwick with a time in which they finished third with a time of 4:17.65. She also placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:37.56 (Jan. 5). Placed third in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:20.39 and placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.02, in a dual-meet against RPI (Jan. 11)...Ranked third in the 100-yard breaststroke earning a time of 1:13.75 in a loss against Middlebury (Jan. 19)...Was part of the quartet that placed second in the 400-yard medley relay in a loss against Hamilton (Jan. 26)...Was victorious In the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke as she was clocked in at 1:13.43 and 2:35.16 respectively in the events (Feb. 2). Rachel swam the 400 IM in a time of 4:40.57, placed 8th in the 100 breast with a time of 1:08:83 and 10th in the 200 br with a time of 2:29.39. Rachel also was on the 200 medley relay that placed 7th overall at the UNYSCS Championship Meet (Feb 20-23)...Named to the 2012-2013 Liberty League All-Academic team. Was named to the Union College Dean's List for her academic performance during the 2012-13 academic year.
2011-12: During this season, Clegg placed third in both the 100-yard breast and 200-yard backstroke at dual meet against Williams on November 20 and also placed third in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:37.15
2010-11: During this season, Clegg placed sixth at States in the 400 IM with a time of 4:44.92, 8th in the 100 Breast stroke with a time of 1:09.35 and seventh in the 200 Breast stroke with a time of 2:30.44.
Prior to Union: Graduated from North Yarmouth Academy in 2010.
Personal: Born November 10, 1992... Daughter of Campbell and Jennie Clegg.
