Union College Athletics

2015: Started 35 games, with a batting average of .204, recording 21 hits, 1 home run, 4 doubles and 11 RBI in 103 at bats. 

2014: Started 35 games, with a batting average of .333 hitting 36 of 108, including two home runs and 21 RBIs. 2014 Liberty League First Team.

2013: RECEIVED TERRY lYNCH-JACKIE HAVERCAMP CUTTITA MEMORIAL AWARD: Presented to the freshman female athlete who has shown leadership qualities as well as sportsmanship.

Academically, Joanna is a double major in Psychology and Sociology...Recipient of the Union College Presidential Academic Scholarship... Involved in community service clinic held for Deanna Rivers foundation, a Shenendehowa High School softball player who was tragically killed.

In her rookie season, Joanna homered and scored 2 runs against Brandeis (2/22). Went 1 for 2 with a walk and two runs against Carleton (3/23). Had 3 hits, 3 RBI's, 2 doubles, a run and a stolen base against Middlebury (3/25). Went 2 for 4 with an RBI against SUNY Plttsburgh (4/9)...Went 2 for 4 in the double header against Sage with a run and 3 walks (4/18)... Went 1 for 3 with one run and a RBI in the first game and went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI's in the second game of a double header against SUNY New Paltz (4/24)...In a game against Ithaca College on 4/28 she batted 1 for 2 earning a run... Went 1 for 3 with a run, and a double in the first game of a double header against Utica (4/29)

Prior to Union:
Joanna was named captain of her high school team in her senior year. Joanna made CHSAA All League Selection (2010, 2011, 2012) and was nominated JV MVP in 2009.
