Ali Boe
Assistant Coach
Sixth Season
Alma Mater: Harvard '06

Ali Boe enters her sixth season as an assistant coach with the Union Women’s Ice Hockey program. Her primary responsibilities with the team include coaching the defensemen and goaltenders, as well as acting as the Recruiting Coordinator.

While at Union, Boe has helped the team improve their overall goals against average in each of her six seasons. She also coached the program’s first All-ECAC Selection, goaltender Lundy Day. Day graduated from Union in 2009.

In the offseason Boe works with USA Hockey, coaching and developing the skills of young female hockey players at their annual summer festivals. This offseason, she worked the USA 16 Camp in Saint Cloud, MN that featured the most talented 16 year old ice hockey players in the country.

Prior to coaching at Union, Boe played one year of hockey in the Western Women’s Hockey League with the Calgary Oval X-Treme. While there, she helped lead the team to its third consecutive WWHL Championship and an ESSO National Championship.

A 2006 graduate of Harvard University, Boe was a four-year letterwinner for the Women’s Ice Hockey Team. She backstopped the Crimson to three straight ECAC Hockey League tournament titles, two ECAC Hockey League regular season titles, and four NCAA tournament appearances including three Frozen Four championship game appearances from 2003-2005. She was selected to the 2005 and 2006 ECACHL All-Tournament Teams and was a Frozen Four All-Tournament Selection in 2005. Boe was twice named All-Ivy Honorable Mention and was tabbed ECACHL Goalie of the Week four times in her career.

Boe is a native of Edina, MN and received her Bachelor of Arts is in sociology from Harvard in June of 2006.
