In 2011, Union alumni, parents, and administration came to an understanding that to build a nationally recognized lacrosse program required providing its coaches and players with a steady stream of income and support. The formation of the Garnet Sticks Booster Club launched the Men’s Lacrosse Team to new heights that couldn’t have been accomplished without the generous financial support of its benefactors like you.
Since 2011, the Dutchmen program has had the following successes:
• 13 straight winning seasons
• 9 seasons with a national ranking (including every week since April 2019)
• 2022 NCAA National Finalists
• 3 NCAA National Quarterfinalists
• 7 NCAA Tournament Appearances
• 38 USILA All-Americans (including a program-record 10 in 2022)
• 19 USILA Scholar All-Americans
• 86 All-Liberty League Selections
• Showcased our program nationally with Spring trips to San Diego, Virginia Beach, Annapolis, Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Austin.
• Fielded teams with elite student-athletes from 10 different states while expanding recruitment camps to new regions like California, Colorado, and Florida.
Simply put, the financial support provided by our Garnet Sticks family helps to enrich the day-to-day experience of current student-athletes while also strengthening the program’s foundation for long-term success.
