Gary Reynolds, who has served Union College in a variety of coaching roles in the athletic department, joins Mary Ellen Burt's staff as an assistant coach for the new women's golf program.

Reynolds has been an avid golf enthusiast for the past 25 years. He has been a multi year participant in the Schenectady County Amateur Golf Championship. Reynolds was both the Overall Champion and Flight Champion in the 2011 Edison Club Member/Guest Torunament in 2001, and also the Flight Champion at Normanside Country Club's Member/Guest tourney in 2007. He was the Flight Champion in the Shaker Ridge Country Club Member/Guest Tournament in 2011. Reynolds served as President of the New York Telephone Golf League in 2011, one of the longest running leagues in the state that recently completed its 50th year. The league competes at Van Patten Golf Club in Clifton Park.

On the football sidelines, Reynolds coaches linebackers and assists the kickers and punters. He has coached the quarterbacks, wide receivers, linebackers and offensive line in previous years. Reynolds was also the head baseball coach at Union from 1986 to 2003, and served in an interim capacity in 2010. He guided the Dutchmen to two ECAC Upstate New York titles and the ‘02 squad won a record 20 games. Union also played in four ECAC Playoffs. Reynolds was the UCAA (now Liberty League) Coach of the Year in 2000, and is the all-time winningest coach in Union baseball history.
