Language Center

The Language Center is offering zoom one-on-one meetings with Language Assistants and Language Mentors. For students to book appointments, they need to go to the Google appointment calendar for their language (see links below the instructions).

Instructions to book an appointment: Office hours slots of 20 minutes to meet one-on-one with a Language Assistant or Language Mentor via zoom are now bookable. You must be logged into Union's GMail or calendar (or any Union Google app) to book an appointment. If you are not logged in, the system will prompt you to log in. You can book any 20 minute appointment slot. Once an appointment is booked it will not appear in the booking page any longer so that no other student can book it. If you want to cancel the appointment, you must go to your own Google calendar and delete the appointment so that it is available for another student.

On the appointment page, you will see the current week and time. You can change the week by clicking on the arrows (top left) and you can see earlier or later slots by scrolling up and down. Slots can start early and end late so scrolling to see all the offerings is important.

To attend your appointment: Go to your Google Calendar, click on your meeting and click on the zoom link. If there is a password provided, you will be prompted to enter it. Please connect a couple of minutes early to be admitted promptly to your appointment. You will be in a waiting room until the Language Assistant or Mentor is done with the person before you. They will let you into the room at your scheduled time
