Nicole Flores came to Union prior to the spring of 2011 after serving for two seasons on the athletic coaching staff at Eastern Connecticut State University. She serves as an assistant on the Union field hockey staff and also is an assistant for head women's lacrosse coach Abby Jackson.

A native of Branford, Connecticut, Flores played four seasons of lacrosse through the spring of 2009 at Springfield College, where she was a first-team All-New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) defender as a senior captain.

At Springfield, Flores played her first two seasons in goal before moving to the field as a junior, when she played both defense and attack.  In Flores’ four-year career, the Pride won 44 and lost 27 and qualified for the 2006 NCAA Division III tournament after winning the NEWMAC playoff championship.

As a senior, she was selected as Springfield’s only first-team all-conference defender. That year, she appeared in all 18 matches, with 17 starts, for the Pride. She led the team in ground balls and caused turnovers. As a junior, she appeared in 11 matches, with two starts, scoring four goals with two assists. That season, she also appeared in three matches in goal with a 1-1 record and 7.91 goals-against average. On the 2006 NCAA qualifier, Flores appeared in 13 of 18 matches in net, with three starts, a 5-5 record and 9.04 GAA.

Flores brought significant camp experience to Union, having served on the staff of the Peak Performance Women’s Lacrosse Camp at Springfield College throughout her college career and also at the Bowdoin College Women’s Lacrosse Camp.

At Branford High School, Flores played four seasons of lacrosse and two of field hockey, helping the Hornets to one field hockey state championship and one second-place finish. She served as a team captain in lacrosse in each of her final two seasons.

Flores earned her B.S. Degree in Physical Education and a minor in Health from Springfield in May of 2009. She is certified to teach K-12 Health and Physical Education in the state of Massachusetts.
