Erik Karlson finished his first season as an assistant coach with the Union College football team in 2024, working primarily with the outside linebackers.
Karlson came to Schenectady after three seasons at Worcester State University, where he coached both the defensive line and linebackers. He helped develop two straight team Defensive Rookies of the Year and assisted the Defensive Coordinator with the development and installation of defensive schemes.
Karlson played four years on the offensive line at Springfield College from 2015-18 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and education in 2019.
