Director of Football Operations, Running Backs ~ 31st Season ~ Salem ‘69
As Director of Football Operations, Cottrell’s duties include organizing all video game and practice film. He will work with the running backs for the second straight season. Cottrell has coached the wide receivers, offensive line and tight ends during his long service to the program. He retired from his position as the head men’s and women’s track and field coach at Union in 2008. Cottrell served as the head football coach at Niskayuna High School. A four-year letter winner at Scotia-Glenville High, Cottrell was a two-year starter at defensive back for Salem College in West Virginia.
