Union College Athletics

Sam Nelson finished his first season as an assistant coach with the Union College football team in 2023. Nelson works primarily as the running backs coach. 

Nelson comes to Union after spending a season at Bridgton Academy as the offensive line coach. 

In 2021, Nelson spent time with the Albany Empire as an offensive assistant and assistant equipment manager. 

A four-year member of the football team, Nelson graduated from Springfield College in 2022 with a degree in elementary education.
