Pete Durr

Pete Durr is in his third season on the Union coaching staff. Durr assists in all areas of the program including recruiting, scouting, practice and game preparation, and player development. In addition, Durr was a member of the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year won by Union in 2012-13.

The Dutchmen finished 2012-13 with a 20-6 record, posting the sixth 20 win season in program history since the first season in 1888-89. Senior Keven Donohue was a Jostens Trophy finalist and was named to the NABC Coaches' Division III All-East District Second Team, as well as receiving ECAC and D3Hoops all star honors.

Durr came to the Dutchmen from Utica College, where he was the program's only full time assistant from 2010-11. In his lone year at Utica he helped double their win total from the previous year from 7 to 14 wins. Durr has also lectured at many basketball camps throughout New York, and has served as an instructor at a variety of collegiate campus camps including Hamilton and SUNY IT.

Durr, is a 2010 graduate of Keuka College where he earned a degree in Education. There he was a four year member and three year starter of the Storm’s men’s basketball team where he was selected as an all NEAC performer. Serving as team captain for three years, he is 6th in Keuka’s school history in three point field goals made and also 8th in school history in assists.

Durr is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame High School where he played under his father Mike Durr, he was an all tri-Valley league performer for the Jugglers and led them to a Sectional Championship his senior year.
