When Union won their national championship in hockey in 2014, they were playing against my hometown Minnesota Golden Gophers. I remember watching that game and thinking, “What is this small school in Upstate New York doing where they can compete with the University of Minnesota and have a student section that was just as loud and excited?" They won that game and ever since I have been captivated by the school, and eventually I knew Union was the school for me.
