Nick Tosoni finished his second season as an assistant coach with the Union College women’s basketball program in 2024-25.
In his first season on the sidelines at Union, the Garnet Chargers earned a third straight postseason appearance and reached the semifinals of the Liberty League Tournament with an upset victory over St. Lawrence in the first round. Union got off to an excellent start in his second season, winning 11 of the first 17 games and earning wins against the top-two teams in the Liberty League. The team finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 10-8 mark in the Liberty League for the second straight year and saw its first All-Liberty League first-team selection since 2015-16 in junior Jelena Perovic.
Before coming to Union, Tosoni spent two years as an assistant coach with the boys’ basketball team at Wilbraham & Monson Academy. Tosoni was responsible for editing of game film and scouting preparation, player statistical analysis, game-day planning, and recruiting. Prior to that, he worked for two years with the Southwick-Tolland Regional High School girls’ basketball team, serving as head coach of the JV team and also scouting and implementing defensive concepts for the varsity team.
Tosoni also spent a summer as an operations intern for USA Basketball in 2019.
Tosoni attended the University of Miami and spent three years as a student manager and video assistant with the Hurricanes men’s basketball team.
