I chose Union because of the ability to pursue both astronomy and biology and its undergraduate research programs. I also wanted a school with a where I could continue to compete on a rowing team and continue to play my violin in an orchestra ensemble while balancing a rigorous academic program.





Prior to Union: A 2026 graduate of Arlington High School … a four-year member of varsity swimming team and six-year member of varsity crew ... named Arlington Oarswoman of the Year in 2025 and 2026, also serving as team captain ... also won team's most-outstanding rower in 2024, Patrick Furr Sportsmanship award in 2023, and Outstanding Senior award as a member of both the crew and swim teams ... earned Dave Goddard Student Athletic Council Award as a senior ... holds multiple records and won several awards as a member of Hudson Valley Dolphins club swim team, also serving as captain for her club and varsity swimming teams ... played in Philharmonia Orchestra, wrote for school newspaper, participated in Science Olympiad, and was a member of the Student Athletic Council ... National Honor Society member.
