Biography

2013-14: Played in all 34 games for the Dutchwomen during her senior campaign... Registered a career high six points (3-3-6) on the year... Recorded a power play goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Providence (Oct. 4)... Recorded an assist in a 2-1 win over Penn State (Oct. 18)... Recorded a power play goal against Dartmouth (Jan. 25)... Ranked second on the team in blocked shots (59) and fifth in shots on goal (53)... Was named a candidate for the Hockey Humanitarian Award.

2012-13: Played in all 34 games for the Dutchwomen, tallying three assists...Assisted on the game-winning goal against Connecticut (Sept. 29)...Registered an assist on the game-tying power play goal against Yale in a 1-1 draw (Dec. 7)...Was credited with an assist in a loss against New Hampshire (Jan. 15)... Was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team. 

2011-12: Played in 28 games for the Dutchwomen...Recorded an assist against Sacred Heart (Oct. 8)...Had an assist against Northeastern on (Nov. 8)...Tallied an assist against Clarkson (Nov. 4)... Scored her first goal of the season against Yale (Nov. 11)...Recorded an assist against Connecticut (Jan. 10)...Was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team.

2010-11: Her freshman season, Ashley played in all 34 games for the Dutchwomen...She tallied her first career point, an assist, against Princeton on November 6...She also recorded assists against Brown (Nov. 12), Maine (Dec. 11) and Vermont (Jan. 1)...Her contribution at Brown was the tying-goal assist...Ashley's first career goal came against Brown on February 5th...She buried the game-winning shot on a two-man advantage, earning herself her first power play goal, as well...Ashley was also an All-ECAC Hockey Academic Selection for the 2010-2011 season.

Prior to Union
Ashley is a graduate of the Assumption Catholic Secondary School, where she was the only female on the Men’s Ice Hockey Team...Her freshman year, she was named Rookie of the Year and won the Sportsmanship Award her junior season as Assistant Captain...In Ashley's sophomore year, she received the Amarak School Spirit Award, which is given to the student who demonstrates excellence in academic and athletic leadership...During her senior year, Ashley played for two teams: The Burlington Jr. Barracudas (PWHL) and the Burlington Barracudas (CWHL)...She  was named Assistant Captain for the Jr. Barracudas in the 2009-10 season....While with the Burlington Barracudas of the CWHL, her team made it to the quarterfinals of the Clarkson Cup...In 2010, Ashley played in an All-Star game for the CWHL, and was awarded the Rotary Athletic Scholarship for the City of Burlington.

Personal: Born on July 17, 1992...The daughter of Rosanne and Jim, Ashley managed to be a five-sport athlete in high school, playing hockey, rugby, cross country, basketball and soccer...She was named the 2010 MVP of the Cross Country Team...Ashley holds the record for Best Female Time in cross country and Highest Ranking Finisher Overall (18th) at the District Meet at her high school...She also finished 25th, second in her age group, at a triathlon...As a student, she made the Honor Roll all four years and participated in a provincial mock UN for three years... She is a member of the Union College Scholars program... Earned the Union College John S. Hadala Endowed Book Prize for academic, personal and social achievement.
